Welcome to Society for Experimental Mechanics Northeast Regional Student Symposium!

Society for Experimental Mechanics Northeast Regional Student Conference is a one day conference that brings together students from New England Solid Mechanics Community to share latest advancements in Mechanics of Materials and Structures.

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (UMassD) is excited to host Society for Experimental Mechanics Northeast Regional Student Symposium on April 16th, 2022. There is no cost to register, and breakfast, lunch, and coffee break are included.

Students are requested to submit an abstract for possible oral and poster presentations before January 16th, 2022. All students who are selected for oral presentation must present a poster in the symposium. The students who are selected for oral presentation will be informed before March 5th, 2022.

Society for Experimental Mechanics Northeast Regional Student Conference also invites students from regional community colleges in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to attend the conference, gain knowledge from exciting research presentations and explore several research opportunities available through National Science Foundation’s Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program.
